Treat yourself to a whole week of mokume gane patterning. In addition to exploring twist and stamp patterning, we will learn the most traditional Japanese patterning method of all - chisel patterning. You will even make your own mokume gane chisel. If students choose, we'll even explore the traditional Japanese patina rokusho. Mornings will be spent learning new techniques, afternoons there will be time to create finished mokume gane pieces. By the end of the week, you'll have created samples in at least three different techniques, and completed one or two finished jewelry pieces (and generally started quite a few more). This class is targeted more toward the intermediate jewelry student, but all are welcome. Class fees include lots of blank copper/brass mokume gane to work with, or pay additional fee to work in silver/copper/brass mokume gane. Please note we are not fusing mokume in this class, just patterning.

Five day class, from 9am to 4pm each day with a lunch break from noon-1pm.
Our main instructor at Anneville, Anne Wolf has been teaching general jewelry/metals classes since 2003, and mokume gane workshops since 2008.
Anneville Jewelry Lab is located at Liberty Station with plenty of free parking and delicious coffee and food options within walking distance.
