The Lab
Starting with copper, brass and/or silver 18 gauge sheet, participants will create their own mokume gane billet. We will fuse, forge and roll our billets using the more reliable solid-state diffusion bonded method. This is a complicated process using some pretty big tools, but everything will be covered step-by-step and you will leave with lots of mokume ready to pattern and all the details you would need to duplicate your own fusing set-up. (Or just take the class again when you want to fuse more mokume!) We are not finishing pieces or even patterning; we are just fusing and working the billet into usable material. Best for intermediate-advanced jewelry students.

All supplies and materials except silver included; if you use silver, there will be an extra charge TBD.
3 day class, 9am to 4pm each day with a lunch break from noon-1pm.
Our main instructor at Anneville, Anne Wolf has been teaching general jewelry/metals classes since 2003, and mokume gane workshops since 2008.
