Useful for everything from printing textures on metal to rolling out ingots, the rolling mill is a ubiquitous but expensive piece of jewelry equipment. We'll cover proper safety, use and maintenance of both our rolling mills while you create cool textures on copper and brass, roll sheets to specific thicknesses, and change the shape and size of wire. Care and training is needed to use a mill properly - after this class you will be certified to use the mill on your own during open lab time. Great for beginners - you'll have time to create a simple finished pendant with your textured metal. Also perfect for anyone ready to purchase their own mill - try ours first and get our recommendations.

Depending on the student’s skill level, final fabrication and finishing may be needed after the class to complete the project. We offer ongoing independent study opportunities for this purpose.

Your safety is of utmost importance to us: everyone is required to wear closed toed shoes while in the Lab, loose hair must be pulled back and safety glasses and earmuffs are available and required.

Sorry - that class has already taken place!
